A project that shows locations and densities of different fast food restaurants and supermarkets in German counties.

It is based on OpenStreetMap data and uses a statistical technique called normalization. Instead of simply plotting franchise locations, ratios between the number of locations and population per-county are calculated. These represent densities better.

I created info graphics for both fast food locations and supermarket locations, as well as a responsive, interactive web map.
