16 Bit Style Web Maps (Unfinished)

A small project showing a slippy web map like Google Maps or OpenStreetMap in the style of old 16 bit video games from the early nineties.

This was done using gdal2tiles.py, a script that produces map tiles structured as a tiled map service (TMS). It is part of the Geographic Data Abstraction Library, or short GDAL.

I do not consider this finished by any stretch of the imagination, but I like to keep it around for nostalgic reasons, because it was the first web map that I have ever done.
